Thank You For Five Years
|
|
|
Eight Marketing is pleased to announce that it is
celebrating its fifth anniversary.
Since our founding in 2003, we have been dedicated
to the tourism and attractions industry, helping them to
succeed through strategic marketing, partnerships,
sponsorships and communication.
We'd like to thank our founding clients that were with
us in the beginning and who continue to be strong
partners and colleagues.
Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing
Corporation was Eight Marketing's charter client
and continues to be a marketing partner on numerous
projects. We thank them for their confidence in us and
for their tireless work promoting this region.
Harmelin Media was Eight Marketing's
second client and remains a client to this day.
Harmelin Media has also served as the home of Eight
Marketing since the beginning. We thank them for
setting the model of how a company should be run
and we are proud to call them our partner.
Adventure Aquarium was still in the vision
stage of Steiner Entertainment when they became a
client of Eight Marketing. We are proud to have played
a role in their success.
The Delaware River Port Authority was Eight
Marketing's first project client, retaining our services to
do a 10-year analysis of ferry ridership and trends.
Over the years, DRPA has been a repeat client, both
for the RiverLink Ferry and more recently for
CruisePhilly. We thank them, and all of you, for
your ongoing
support.

Discover Freedom's Backyard

Historic Germantown Launches New Brand
On June 17th, Historic Germantown Preserved (HGP)
launched its brand identity: Historic Germantown:
Freedom's Backyard.
The brand was revealed at a press conference, with
the turning of clay pots adorned with the letters of the
brand. The pots were created by local school children
participating in Historic Germantown's History
Hunters program.
The brand was created by Caspari/McCormick
working in conjunction with Eight Marketing. Visitor
research was conducted by the Melior Group.
Three distinct characteristics define Historic
Germantown and are at the heart of the new brand.
- Historic: Germantown's historic roots date
back to the 1600s and continue to this day.
- Freedom: Historic Germantown's story is
truly a story of freedom. But, unlike their freedom
partners down at the Liberty Bell, Germantown's
freedom story is only partially the story of
independence from England. It is also a story of
freedom from slavery, freedom to practice religion and
even economic freedom.
- Personal: Most of all, Historic
Germantown speaks from the heart and homes. Here
personal battles were fought literally in the homes and
backyards. This includes the Battle of Germantown
waged at Cliveden. It includes the battle from slavery
fought in secret at the Johnson House - a renowned
site on the Underground Railroad. Yet it also includes
the stand against slavery fought over a century earlier
at the Germantown Mennonite Historic Trust.
Also going live on June 17th was Historic
Germantown's new website: www.freedo
msbackyard.com. The website includes
links to all 14 participating attractions, in addition to
offering downloads of a new map and brochure of the
area.
