Eight Marketing is proud to announce that we are working with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP), providing public relations and social media support for the 2011 Take The Lead programs in Philadelphia, Reading and Bethlehem.
What distinguishes Take The Lead from other award events is its focus on girls and their leadership development. Girl Scouts, ranging in age from 12 to 18, take charge of the presentation ceremonies as emcees, presenters, table ambassadors, and hosts.
Take The Lead kicked off in in Philadelphia on March 1, honoring Ann Weaver Hart , Ph.D., President of Temple University; Kyra McGrath, Esq., Executive Vice President and COO, WHYY; Michele Ridge, Former First Lady of Pennsylvania and Pamela Browner White, Sr. VP/Public Affairs & Govt. Relations, Philadelphia Eagles.
Take The Lead moves to Reading on March 15, honoring Cathy Feiler, Partner/Audit and Accounting Services/Small Business Team, ParenteBeard; Angel Helm, Director and Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo-Wachovia Securities; Kathy Kleppinger, Vice President/Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Sadan Kulturel-Konak, Ph.D., Associate Professor/Management Information Systems, Pennsylvania State University-Berks Campus; and Elaine McDevitt, CEO and Board Chair, The Rose Corporation.
The final 2011 Take The Lead event will be held in Bethlehem on April 27, honoring Beverly Bradley, President, Cops'N'Kids Literacy Program; Kathy Matthews, Director/Business and Compliance, PPL; Mary Ellen Voden, Director/Public Affairs and Staffing, Crayola; Ilene Wood, Author and Community Volunteer; and Susan Yee, CEO, Active Data Exchange.
